Description: "Last Summer" is a feature documentary about changing times in the birthplace of popular culture. Coney Island is world famous as the progenitor of all modern amusement parks, beginning with its formation in the Victorian age as a seaside getaway for all classes of New Yorkers. This film chronicles the less well-known decline of Coney Island and its recent struggles with revitalization as city of the New York, a private developer, amusement operators, preservationists and the public all squabble over the area's future. The director is currently seeking finishing funds to pay for the following: archival images, sound mix, color correction, and original music by Kaki King.
